- A Celebration of Local Flavours -
Every two years the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra (OSO) holds a large fundraising event. The next event, the Spring Symphony Soirée - a celebration of local flavours - will take place on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Hilton Lac Leamy.
We are inviting you to participate with Terrance Guilbault in the Spring Symphony Soirée celebration.
The reception menu by the Hilton’s Executive Chef, Hector Diaz, is designed to showcase local farmers and producers. It will feature a delicious array of local flavours and cuisine, and the music will be performed by dynamic young members of the OSO - Ottawa’s Own Orchestra!
This exciting new event will take place from 6:00 to 9:30 pm, beginning with a sumptuous dinner reception, followed by the concert at 7:30, then a live auction at 8:15, and a delicious dessert buffet around 9:00. The live auction will feature 8 to 10 attractive packages of luxury items. Honourable Jim Watson MPP will be our Honorary Chair and Live Auctioneer. Lianne Laing, host of A-Channel’s Morning Show, will be our MC. They expect over 300 guests to attend, and hope to raise $25,000.
Tickets can be purchased by contacting Catherine Mullen at catherinem@canril.com or 613-863-5600. The tickets cost $150 each. We are hoping to be able to reserve a table for 10 or more of our residents and their guests.
The event is an ideal opportunity to highlight your support for the local arts community. The OSO's much admired concert series and its program of free concerts in local schools would not be possible without the help and support of community-minded people such as yourselves.
We are looking forward to seeing as many of the residents of 90 George as possible at the Spring Symphony Soirée celebration. In the meantime, thank you for your kind consideration.
