Emergency Manual

The complete Emergency, Fire and Evacuation Manual is attached below, and may also be viewed in hard copy at the Front Desk. The following information is important from the residents’ perspective.

Elevators: In the event of a fire alarm, all elevators will go to the ground floor lobby automatically, and remain there until the alarm is cleared.

Emergency Telephones: connected to Security and identified by a red communication lantern, are located throughout the garage area.

Exits: Exits are always marked as such.

There are two emergency fire exit stairwells, one at each end of the building. These are marked A and B and are accessible from each residential floor. Cross-over from one stairwell to the other is possible on all floors in case of stairwell contamination.

Underground parking areas exit to the outside through stairs and emergency exits.

Fire alarm pull stations are strategically located throughout the building and particularly at each emergency fire exit and stairwells on every floor.

Fire alarm speakers are strategically located throughout the building, including in each suite.

Fire hose cabinets are strategically located on every floor at stairwells, and are equipped with 100 feet of hose and a nozzle, as well as a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

Heat Detectors are located in the suites and throughout the building, and activate the main fire alarm system.  The main fire alarm system notifies the Fire Department directly.

Smoke Detectors are located in the suites and throughout the building. Smoke detectors in suites do not activate the main fire alarm system.

Sprinklers are located in all suites and in common areas of the building, including the garage.

Voice communication system: Speakers are located in all suites and common areas to provide residents with information and instructions in case of an emergency.
